Revlon Beyond Natural Defining Mascara

Posted in Product Reviews on August 13th, 2009 by Kristen Jason – 1 Comment

We’ve found mascara that isn’t so thick that it clumps but doesn’t have so much liquid that it smudges. We liked the Revlon Beyond Natural Defining Mascara creamy formula, because you can layer without clumping. This mascara also has a unique brush so you can actually comb through your lashes. The result is very natural looking; we suggest this product for when you’re going to be outside or for work.

Revlon Beyond Natural Defining Eye Pencil

Obvious makeup has no place poolside or at the beach. For women that HAVE to wear something, there is Revlon’s Beyond Natural Defining Eye Pencil. These soft pencils are very soft and easy to blend. If you’re into bronzer you’ll really like Shade 610 Brown. It’s a light bronze color that goes very well with neutral makeup.

Revlon ColorStay Mineral Lipglaze

Posted in Product Reviews on July 6th, 2009 by Kristen Jason – Comments Off on Revlon ColorStay Mineral Lipglaze

Everyone likes the way lipgloss looks, but it fades fast. Revlon’s first longwearing lipgloss, ColorStay Mineral Lipglaze, lasts for up to 8 hours. We tried it out and found that it didn’t wear off during the day, even after a lunch. More importantly, it didn’t strip our lips of moisture like typical long wearing formulas tend to.

The gloss stays on for so long because of its mineral complex, which seals the formula on your lips. Our favorite shade is Infinite Rose, which goes on sheer and has a nice grapefruit smell to it.

Revlon Beyond Natural Concealer & Highlighter

Posted in Product Reviews on April 20th, 2009 by Kristen Jason – Comments Off on Revlon Beyond Natural Concealer & Highlighter

You can’t go wrong with 2 products in one compact. Revlon’s Beyond Natural Concealer & Highlighter contains a silky smooth concealer for under eye circles and a highlighter for skin enhancement. We were thankful that the concealer was opaque enough to keep our dark circles a secret.

You can use the highlighter on your cheekbones, inner corner of your eyes, brows, etc. We thought it worked best to accentuate our cheekbones; it’s so subtle it truly made us look like we had great bone structure.

Revlon ColorStay Lipliner

Posted in Product Reviews on April 2nd, 2009 by Kristen Jason – Comments Off on Revlon ColorStay Lipliner

Usually long wearing lipliner is synonymous with dry as sandpaper. The Revlon ColorStay Lipliner is long lasting, but it doesn’t have a dry feel to it at all. The self-sharpening liner glides over your lips and does not settle into lines. It blended well with our lipstick and worked well with our gloss. If you want marathon wear, you can fill your lips in with the lipcolor then add lipstick. If you are just looking for some definition, try putting on gloss FIRST then put the lipliner on top of it.

We tried the full coverage Pink (shade 650), but sheer and clear shades are also available.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss

Posted in Product Reviews on March 4th, 2009 by Kristen Jason – Comments Off on Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss

Lipgloss is always a fun thing to purchase.  We really liked this one because of its texture.  It’s both moisturizing AND lightweight.  Don’t be scared to go for bold colors; this is a very sheer gloss.  The product looks like you’ll have glitter lips, but when you put it on you can’t really see it, just intense shine.  We applaud Revlon; 10% of all sales of their “Pink Pursuit” shade go to breast cancer research.

Revlon Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup

Posted in Product Reviews on February 26th, 2009 by Kristen Jason – Comments Off on Revlon Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup

It’s easy to get tired of the foundation game. Saleswomen will tell you, “try it on your wrist, the nape of the neck gives you the best match, try it on all over your face, go outside and see it in natural light” etc. The fact is, it’s difficult to find a foundation that perfectly matches your skin. Especially considering no one human is the same color year-round.

So this is why we are celebrating Revlon Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup. We were skeptical when we read the back of the tube “Patented ingredients make with innovative micro-color beads adjust to your exact skin tone upon application”. But we discovered this description wasn’t science fiction after all. It’s fun to use. There are only 5 shades to choose from, so all you have to do is know what category you’re in. It was entertaining to see the white formula change to the EXACT color of our complexion.

The end result is that you look like you don’t have any make up on, but this formula is thick enough to even out skin tone and cover imperfections. It’s pretty long lasting, we did not have to reapply during the day.

The verdict? This foundation is a must for natural gals. If you’re looking for some major cover up, we suggest you try their Color Stay or Age Defying makeup. For a whole list of Revlon’s foundations go to http://www.revlon.com/ProductCatalog/SubCategory.aspx?CategoryID=1&SubCategoryID=3
