CoverGirl Eye Enhancers 4-Kit Shadows

Posted in Product Reviews on March 24th, 2009 by Kristen Jason – Be the first to comment

Women with fair skin might be hesitant to embrace the purple eyeshadows modeled on the runways for Spring 2009 collections.  But women with fair skin will especially love CoverGirl Eye Enhancers 4-Kit Shadows in the Pure Romance palette.  With matte eyeshadow in style now, we were glad to see that 3 of the plum shades were matte.  The 4 shades are easy to blend, and you can create several different looks.  We found that CoverGirl TruShine Lipstick in Lilac Shine goes well with this eyeshadow.  Darker complexions will look best with a brownish or burgundy version of plum shadows.  Not sure what colors you should be wearing?  Check out http://www.covergirl.com/registration/index.jsp?redirect_page=/products/product.jsp%3FproductId%3Deye_enhancers_4_kit_shadows.  CoverGirl has a section on their website where you can find the perfect shades for YOU.

CoverGirl Point Plus Eyeliner

Eyeliners have long filled our makeup bags, but the CoverGirl Point Plus Eyeliner caught our attention.  It’s self-sharpening AND it’s supposed to glide on easily.  Many self sharpening eyeliners hardly glide; they more so drag on your eyelid. And then there are the self sharpening eyeliners that are too soft, so it breaks when you sharpen it.  We gave the CoverGirl eyeliner a try and we were impressed.  No snagged eyelids and no running eyeliner.  The eyeliner lasts and it’s unique design allows you to make perfect lines.  Our favorite was the grey khaki shade; it’s flattering on most eye colors but is a must have if you have hazel eyes.

The Bonus: There’s a smudge tip at the other side of the eyeliner for a natural, softer look.

CoverGirl Fresh Complexion Concealer

Those of us with oily skin were feeling left out..It seems that most of the concealers of the world were designed for dry skin. So what’s a girl to do that has the misfortune of combination/oily skin AND dark circles? From our search we found CoverGirl Fresh Complexion Concealer.

This concealer lasts all day, so you won’t look like a raccoon when the work day is over. This formula is lightweight and transfer resistant; we liked the way it didn’t interfere with our eyeshadow and eyeliner. The best part is that since it won’t clog pores you can use it on blemishes as well.

Tip: This is a lightweight formula, it works by diffusing light instead of heavily covering the problem areas. If you want a more heavy duty effect, use underneath your foundation.
