Physicians Formula Bronze Booster

Posted in Product Reviews on April 30th, 2010 by Sara Dixon – 2 Comments

bigimageaspx1Most bronzers go on way too thick, leaving you with a muddy, unnatural-looking complexion. But Physicians Formula Bronzer Booster is specially formulated with Glow Activators Technology to give you beautiful, sun-kissed skin without looking muddy. Plus it contains a little sunless tanner so it even lengthens the life of your tan! There are three shades to choose from (Fair to Light, Light to Medium, and Medium to Dark) to ensure the most natural color for your skin. Simply apply product to the brush and glide over face and neck for a shimmery, sun-kissed look. We really liked how nice it looked over bare skin without makeup, which makes it great for summer when we use less. We also loved the full brush and mirror that came with it because, let’s face it, most powders don’t come with a high-quality brush!

The only thing to watch out for is that this is an ultra-shimmery bronzer, so if you are looking for one with a matte finish, this one may not be for you.

Overall, we give Physicians Formula Bronze Booster a 9 out of 10 for high quality, reasonable price, sunless tanner add-in, and great accessory brush and mirror. In our opinion paying $15 for this product is a risk-free and smart investment for your summer cosmetic bag.

Physician’s Formula Organic Wear Bronzing Veil

Posted in Product Reviews on May 7th, 2009 by Kristen Jason – Comments Off on Physician’s Formula Organic Wear Bronzing Veil

Bronzer is now a part of nearly every woman’s make up routine, but if worn incorrectly it can look muddy or altogether fake. Most people look their best in a yellow based matte powder without sparkles. Physican’s Formula has such a bronzer; their Organic Wear Bronzing Veil not only gives your skin a natural tan glow, it has a ton of benefits as well. Women with sensitive skin or acne are going to love this. The bronzer is free of harsh chemicals, synthetic preservatives or colors, parabens, and synthetic fragrances. 100% of the ingredients are natural. Organisoy evens out skin tone and texture, and Eco-Olive serves as an anti-oxidant to protect your skin from the environment. You don’t have to worry about the powder drying all out your face; safflower seed oil and jojoba seed oil moisturize the skin. We actually noticed a visible improvement in our skin the same day we used it.

If you are as impressed by the improvement in your skin as we were you might want to also try the Translucent Organics, which you can wear all over by itself or to set your foundation. Organic Wear Bronzing Veil is packaged in an automatic flow through natural goat hair brush, with a mirror on the cap. When applying, use small circular motions. First apply a light layer to your jawline and hairline. Then sweep it on your cheekbones, bridge of the nose, forehead, and chin. Putting a tad on the neck makes the effect a lot more natural. After you make sure everything is blended, apply powder blush on the apples of your cheeks and voila you have a sun kissed look!

As summer approaches it’s time to start wearing bronzers again. Black Radiance, which has always been an economically priced brand geared toward African-Americans, has come out with a bronzing shimmer stick that is suitable for all complexions and skin types. It has a great consistency, so it really rubs into the skin well. When you put it on you can just keep blending it until you get the level of subtlety that you are comfortable with. You can use this shimmer stick on your eyes, cheeks, or body for a natural glowing finish. Have oily skin? Use the shimmer stick BEFORE your loose powder, and it will last all day.
